Frequently
Asked Questions about 4 Life Films' Wedding Videos
What's
included in the price?
Everything! The filming of your wedding day on
broadcast quality camera(s) with discreet, wireless radio microphones.
Several days' work editing your wedding video using high spec computers
fully equipped with professional editing software. All the relevant licenses
e.g. music licenses so that you can legally have your favourite song on
your DVD! Full professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Travel within
70 miles of the postcode HX3 0ND is included. Travel outside this area is charged
at a rate of 25p per mile. There are no hidden extras.
One
camera or two?
Using 2 cameras allows you to capture much more: rather
than focusing exclusively on you two as you exchange vows, we can also film those
precious moments such as your mum wiping a tear from her eye or the proud smile
on your father's face. Moments that you won't get to see on the wedding day itself.
2 cameras gives you much greater coverage, a wider choice of camera angles with
greater variety in the finished wedding video.
Isn't
having a tv crew at a wedding intrusive?
The cameras might be broadcast
standard, but thanks to new technologies, it's not too much bigger than a domestic
camcorder. Thanks to radio microphones and zoom lenses, we remain at a discreet
distance during the ceremony. We certainly won't take over and turn your wedding
into a tv production. We record your wedding day as it happens.

How many copies of our wedding film do you supply?
3 DVDs of your wedding
video are supplied as standard, but you can order more copies within a year of
your wedding. Order extras at the time of booking or within two weeks after the
wedding and we charge just £15 per DVD (or set of DVDs). Extra DVDs ordered
after this date cost £20 per DVD (or set of DVDs). All our wedding
DVDs are packaged in a personalised DVD presentation case.
What
sorts of weddings do you cover?
Any wedding or civil partnership, of any
religion or none. We also make Asian wedding videos - for more information, please
visit 4 Life
Asian Wedding Videos. Jennifer spent 5 years working in the Religion and Ethics
Department of the BBC so is accustomed to filming in churches, synagogues, Buddhist
and Hindu temples, mosques and Sikh gurdwaras.
Do
we need to provide meals?
Whilst we don't want to add to your expense,
we would appreciate it if your venue could provide a meal for us, to be served
at the same time as the wedding breakfast. This is to ensure that we do not have
to leave the premises and are on hand to cover the cutting of the cake and to
set up the equipment for the recording of the speeches.
How
do we go about booking 4 Life Films for our wedding video?
If you'd like
4 Life Films to produce your wedding DVD, drop me an email to find out about availability
for your wedding day. Please note that a £200 non-refundable booking fee
is required at the time of booking with the balance due one calendar month prior
to the event.
When
will my wedding DVD be ready?
Your fully edited wedding film will usually
be ready within 8 weeks of your wedding day. At quieter times of the year, this
may well be shorter. If you need it faster for a specific reason, let us know.
Will
you include everything in my wedding video?
No. Your wedding and reception
will probably last several hours and we will capture most of this. This will be
edited down to between 45 and 90 minutes of footage, depending on the package
chosen. We'll edit the film so that it includes the most important, most memorable
and most entertaining bits, so that you and your friends and family will enjoy
watching it.
Can
I be involved in the editing process?
Editing takes many hours so it just
wouldn't be practical. But by listening to what you want in advance of your wedding,
what you like, what you don't like, we can ensure that the finished product meets
your requirements. If you want something special, let us know and try our best
to accommodate you.
